CLAN FARQUHARSON 2020 VIRTUAL GATHERING
CLAN BANQUET & CONCERT
SATURDAY 15th AUGUST (8pm - 11pm BST)
This year our Clan Dinner was due to be hosted at the Ballater Golf Club, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we will be attempting to create an international banquet experience online. Wishing to include as many members from our affiliated Clan Farquharson societies as possible and conscious of the various time-zones, we have a bold yet fun solution to propose.

The Banquet will be conducted online using a platform which creates multiple "tables" of 6. All participants are asked to dress formally (Black Tie Kilt or Jacket & Tie for the Gentlemen and Evening Gown or Cocktail Dress for the Ladies) and to have 3 dishes prepared (Starter, Main Course & Dessert) as well as any accompanying drinks. While it will be dinner time for attendees in the UK, we expect it will be lunch time in North and South America, late lunch or tea time in Jamaica and breakfast time Sunday in Australia and New Zealand. Admittedly, it may be a bit unusual for our friends in Oceania to dress formally for Sunday breakfast, but we hope this may add to the fun of the occasion! Between courses, guests will be moved to a new online table to mix with other participants and we will also include speeches, film, a raffle and a concert.

This evening's musical entertainment is being specially provided by three highly talented artists:
PAUL ANDERSON
SHONA DONALDSON
HEATHER DOWNIE
Accessible exclusively to Members and Friends of Clan Farquharson UK and our affiliated overseas societies as well as to an invited guest list of partners who have provided their support to this Virtual Gathering, we will be asking a nominal attendance fee to cover some administrative costs. 50% of proceeds and 100% of any voluntary donations will go to Raising the Standard, the fundraising appeal for the restoration of Braemar Castle. All attendees will automatically be entered into the Banquet Raffle.

All attendees should be at least 18 years of age. Please consume alcohol responsibly and ensure that all participants in your household are of a legal age to drink alcohol in their country of residence.
